Love the library, one of my favorite places on campus. I find my most productive hours while at the library. I have had many friends who've worked at the library and loved it too.
That being said, Mask policy is understandable, but I had a very rude interaction when I should have been wearing a mask. I was in the wrong, it was right after the library opened so no one was around, but they raised their voice at me despite my immediately putting on the mask. It's their job, it's protocol, I get it, but asking nicely the first time is what I'd expect from typical staff at the library. Very unprofessional.
The policies of the library are honestly absurd. They will not allow my wife and I to study in the same room and kicked us out because we were both in one room. I feel like we are treated like animals here when we can only walk up certain stairs or walk a certain way. There are several better places to study on campus than the library.
Great library. Great study rooms. Great computers. I do miss the double monitors though.
Great staff, well laid out interior. Could use more entrances. Modern art displays are bland.
Very quiet and respectful. There is always a cleaning station when you leave or if you just want some hand sanitizer.
