Hudson Cabinetry Design

What a find: Doug and his team are true artisans who deliver outstanding quality. We hired Hudson Cabinetry to create custom cabinets for our tiny pre-war NYC kitchen. We are so pleased with the result: our kitchen is transformed!! It went from a sad, ugly little box to a jewel - I still can't believe this is our kitchen, it's absolutely gorgeous and every inch of space has been optimized. From the design phase to installation, Doug is a great communicator, his team is first-rate, and they all really know their stuff - so the entire project felt like a collaboration with a trusted friend. We used Hudson Cabinetry to do some major built ins for our mid-century NYC apartment. They were terrific. The owner, Doug, gave us feedback on our design ideas and provided suggestions of his own. He has an excellent aesthetic sense and is very easy to work with. (Added bonus: he has a delightfully quirky sense of humor). The prices are reasonable given the extremely high quality of the work. We had started our apartment renovations with a different cabinetry firm and we are so sorry we didn't use Hudson Cabinetry from the start. We recommend them without hesitation!

We had a great experience with Hudson Cabinetry Design and I highly recommend them. We recently moved to a new apartment that had barely any storage space and thanks to Doug and his team I now have two beautiful built in cabinets and a bookcase that we are enjoying fully.nnIt was a pleasure working with Doug from the beginning. He answered all of my questions and was extremely prompt setting up our initial meeting to get measurements, view the space and discuss the project. Once Doug had all the information, he provided detailed designs that included all of our requests. They were extremely professional and careful with their work and our space. At the time of the installation I had a newborn at home and the team was extremely mindful about the situation and made sure to keep all areas clean after each installation day. Not only did they keep the areas clean but were extremely careful protecting our floors and furniture.nnThanks to Hudson Cabinetry Design, I now have two beautiful pieces that we fully enjoy. Doug and his team are wonderful. They completely transformed a formal living room into a comfortable library that is my favorite room in the house. After doing an amazing job on the shelving, we actually had them take off the fireplace mantle and redo it - he nailed the design and it looks 100x better (and way more historically accurate than the one that was there). I would hire Doug again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him and his team. They are true professionals and perfectionists and one of the few service providers I've hired since being a homeowner that handles everything without any monitoring. Adam

Working with Doug Bialor and his team was honestly an enjoyable experience, and that is NOT always the case with home improvement projects. They did a bedroom wall unit/bed frame that helped us utilize previously wasted space and gave us tons of valuable storage; designed three striking wall units in our living room to house some very specific collectibles and built us a sleek, ultra-long sideboard for our dining room, all which blended beautifully into our modern home. On top of doing excellent, beautiful, high quality work, Doug was always full of good suggestions, humor and patience (we took a LONG time to make some choices and changed our mind a few times through the process as well). The end result was that we absolutely love our cabinetwork and cannot recommend Doug and Hudson Cabinetry Design highly enough.
