This is the most compact little hidden treasure of a park that I think I've ever seen. You can challenge yourself with a strenuous run to the summit or just take it slow and enjoy the small slice of peace that it can provide. If you're there at dusk it can make the neighborhood almost pretty when the lights come on and the sinking sun brings a glow to the small ribbon of river that you can see.
A humbling experience walking up to the summit when you realise it was used by the native Indians as a look out. It is very peaceful and the view stunning. My mother-in-law lives right by the park and a walk to the summit and sitting looking at the view with a flask of tea is now my early morning ritual when I am visiting.
This is an easy, short hike with beautiful views.
