Lincoln Financial Group is like partnering with organized crime; you pay your premiums so they can keep you safe in the event of short term claim, and they disavow knowing you, more or less.nnI filed for disability for three months due to experiencing debilitating depression and anxiety. I had my primary care physician and therapist both write letters stating the severity of my condition. After three months, I forced myself to return to work, and I did not seek any claim beyond three short months.nnI did not receive any pay during those three months, and Lincoln Financial denied my initial request and appeal. However, they gladly accepted my bi-weekly premiums.nnWhat is the point of paying for short- and long-term disability insurance with Lincoln if they don't honor if a medical doctor and licensed therapist provide evidence of the severity of the condition that prevents work?nnLincoln Financial is crooked and shady. It is not worth getting liability insurance with this company, because they will just deny the claim and have some nurse say that the medical condition was not severe because I (the patient) was not experiencing hallucinations? Since when does depression and anxiety present with hallucinations?nnAvoid this place.

The experience with Lincoln financial has and was horrible I gave them my bank account information May 5th and June 9th I had to give it again no one gave the forms to my doctor's office and I kept calling wondering what was going on then when they finally gave the information they sent a blank form now they're saying the nurse that revered my records is more qualified then my physician doctor and I should have went back to work sooner

Please have phone representatives say “goodbye” at the end of a call. So impolite to just hang up.

It is utterly heartbreaking filing a dental claims with this company. The Claims Reviewer who reviewed our dental claims either is stupidly ignorant, does not know how to read or the company itself does not really want to pay the claims that we are making. They have required a narrative for the claims and when you presented the narrative required in their format, they would deny it saying the narrative does not meet their requirement. Finally, they required us an x-ray which is not part of the original requirements.

Very poor customer service!! Have short term disability through these people and they have been taking my money just fine but now that I have a disability they will not pay. They overlooked documents I sent in and denied the claim! My family is trying to eat! I will say I never had this problem when I had Aflac years back! I have filed complaints with the BBB and the insurance commissioner. I would not recommend this company at all. I feel like I've been robbed. It's very sad that this company works this way!!!
