I’ve had various repairs & oil changes at Koory’s over the last few years, and while my previous experiences were mostly pleasant, something happened recently that sorely shifted my view of the business.nnMy girlfriend recently got a quote from Koory’s for a few different repairs on a 2008 Jeep Compass, and the quote was around $2,000. At this point, she contemplated just buying a different car, as a $2000 repair on a 12 year-old car is hard to justify. I encouraged her to get another quote at a different Omaha mechanic, and the estimate came out to be $850.nnI don’t know if the two shops saw something different in the vehicle (I doubt it), but this kind of margin & markup is absolutely insane, and it honestly seems a little predatory of a business to try to financially exploit a college-aged girl with little knowledge about cars. Not cool.
