Great spot for a quick hike close to town. Been coming here for years but recently discovered the 2 42 church trailhead off Wagner which makes for the easiest parking. Dogs on leash OK.

Great place to hike if you need a quick break. Very buggy and humid in late summer so plan accordingly. Easiest parking is in the corner of the 242 Community Church parking lot. Attached is a picture of the trailhead marking

I walk for exercise but hate pounding sidewalks through subdivisions so I look for nature areas where I can hike that aren't too far from home. I was blown away the first time I rambled through Saginaw Forest. It is so beautiful and serene, with nice terrain changes as you wander the pathways. My favorite place to walk.

It is a beautiful place but it is not a dog park. There are signs stating that dogs are to be leashed.
