I was there for a knee surgery last week. I feel like I was treated exceptionally well. Leslie and the rest of the team made me as comfortable as I could possibly be. Everyone was very professional and eveything was clearly explained to me. Considering the circumstances I have to say it was a good experience.
If I could give negative stars I would. The nurses I had were very kind but the DOCTOR was rude. I came in with chest pains and she ordered a head CT!! I was told my head CT was clear and blood work normal the doctor wanted me to wait 3 hours for another blood test.(nothing else- no heart monitor- no one checking my vitals). I decided to leave and go to a different hospital that cared. The Doctor said to me well if you sign yourself out and have a heart attack u cant sue me!! WHAT!!!!! NOPE NOPE NOPE don't go here unless u want to be treated poorly by the doctor. When I left my blood pressure was 169/119.. DONT GO HERE
I had a reaction to a broken tooth. It caused my face to swell and it became extremely painful. The nurses, medics, doctors and all the staff were just amazing. Helpful right away. Provided me with medicine, comfort and even called an oral surgeon for me. Provided me with resources for aftercare as well. Did lots of testing and scans and found the issue quickly. It was a very long wait to be seen, which is nothing new for the ER. Expect to wait even longer hours due to covid testing. Treat the staff with respect. I feel the people here are very caring and professional. Despite having so much on their plates, they all still had smiles on their faces and made me feel like a priority. Thank you!
Brought my daughter to the ER on Dec 28th 2017 and it was so empty most of the lights were off. It was one doctor and a nurse and not one single patient. It was the middle of the night and snowing like crazy but I knew my daughter was sick. She had been to the pediatrician earlier and I spoke with them right before we left for the ER. Her pediatrician also gave us antibiotics in case she needed them because we were heading into the weekend but she was unavailable to tell us to move forward with them. At this point my daughter screams when you touch her skin but passes out from exhaustion because it’s was now about 4-5 am. This doctor barely even looked at her. Her skin was RED and he didn’t even look at it. Her face looked awful and her skin was starting to peel. We were sent home after given a steroid and told NOT to start the antibiotics. (Same building as my pediatrician) We went home and my daughter slept on me for a few hours and when we woke up her face and body were worse and more peeling was happening. My daughter had been fighting an impetigo infection on her face prior to this and it was made very clear to this doctor. We finally took her to Moross where she was hospitalized for the next few days with scalded skin syndrome. If we would have started treatment when I originally brought her in she would not have gone through the nightmare that followed. Her skin started falling off at a fast rate about 12 hours after the initial ER visit. She was covered in scabs by the end of the day. The tape from the IV (on a 2yo) was ripping her skin off. I’m also pretty sure she scarred a nurse for life after having to treat her. I thank Dr Kontos (her pediatrician) who was on call at Moross because I believe it was her treatment advice that kept my daughters skin from scarring. Also Dr Church who originally gave us the antibiotics (which is what she ended up needing) but unfortunately were not started because I couldn’t get a confirmation from the office or ER doctors. I will always feel guilty I didn’t just start them but I was told to call. When I called the nurse said to take her in...
Please don’t claim it to be a hospital if you can not admit a patient since you guys don’t have the “proper facilities” to run tests. Very disappointed in the service and care. This is an urgent care at best not a hospital.
