I currently go to this school and it sucks. The teachers talk about hickeys and other inappropriate things during class. I have had my hand raised all period and got no help. I also have had a teacher walk away from the small class she was teaching to do something else. This same teacher likes to play on their phone during class and talk to other students without a care in the world. Some teachers are great but most are not. When im trying to get an education and learn things their is no one to help me when i am struggling.
Has very little extracurricular subjects to take, only one or two honors and AP classes not even in every subject, one or two period. Very little amount of people in each grade, I'm used to bigger schools, there are only about 70 kids in each grade so its harder to make friends.nnThe coaches aren't even school staff, which it makes it harder for them to know what the daily life at the school is like, assembly, etc. Yeah its hard to find coaching staff that are willing to be employees at the school, but personally I just think the school needs a bigger budget, and more kids at the school.nnYeah the school is in more of a secluded area, not a very big population, but personally I think selling more parts of their land on the hill and having to pay less taxes and such, can give an increase of money coming to make the school in better shape, painting/fixing the cracks in the sidewalks. Not being so dull.nnThe school is now having a crack down on cellphones which only a few people ruining for everybody. Most of the senior class doesn't even care for the lower grades for what happens to the rules after because they are leaving right after this year. The cellphones are a personal issue and the kids should decide on what happens with their grades. Yes, they should at least be given input, as long as it isn't distracting the other classmates by noise. It's the other kids decision to be distracted by other people's phones by looking at them when they can easily look straight ahead, that's one thing that took off one of the stars, the other is the condition of the school. Some of the teachers are too strict, and some are too relaxed.nnThe athletics programs are pretty good, just one of the issues are whos the very best shouldn't be playing if they don't do any of the work, such as going to the practices, and workouts and such, they should still get to play at least if they really put in the effort, for all the sports. (but again that isn't really up to the school) Every sports program wants the best players to join, but equal opportunity is what i'm talking about. That's my review.
I graduated from this school in 1984. Best year of school I ever had.
Great school, has some upper management issues, but still produces strong academics and athletics.
