Nice place for a picnic. The younger folks were swimming, boating or fishing.
This place is fabulous for kayaking or canoeing but not so much for swimming because it is very full of aquatic plants. I was told it is a two and half miles from start to finish, I paddled probably about halfway around it and it was so beautiful and relaxing. If you just looking for a good relaxing canoe or kayak ride I highly recommend trying this place out. But I do suggest going when the wind is not very strong, I didn't think the wind would be much of an issue but it really was a challenge.
Poison ivy along trail, be prepared
Not a place to swim. But a Good place for a small walk on a trail. And fishing.
Beautiful place to go! Not much parking, but who wants more people to be there anyway? There is a trail system that guides you around the pond and (my favorite) the waterfall. A great spot to go fishing, kayaking, or just to sit on a rock and enjoy the scenery.
