One disgusted new house ownernJust been told I have to PAY quite a big sum in order to get a permit to RENEW an EXISTING (but old and nasty looking) wrought iron fence that goes along the front of the house I bought here recently!!!nIts already THERE but just looks really bad. So not only am I spending money to make it look good but I have to get another permit in order to do so??nGary Building Commissioner, this is just plain city council GREED.nI am not made of money, and this extra now pushes the cost WAY beyond my budget. So much to my regret will be leaving it looking bad!!! If or when you decide I may improve the look of my property without any of your imposed additional charges, I will be delighted to do so.nThank you (for nothing at the moment)
