Andy and Joyce were incredibly kind and generous to me and my co-workers when we stayed there for the week. Our project was based in Galena and the drive back and forth from this motel was short and scenic. Showers have plenty of hot water and the room was clean and tidy upon arrival. I personally had the VIP suite with the canopy bed and consistently had a great night's sleep every night. And on top of that the owners offer a free glass of wine, or bottle of water or soda! Not sure what else one could ask for out of a motel. Highly recommended! :)

This motel is a gem in the Elizabeth area! Andy and Joyce are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The back of the motel has a lovely view of the hills and a comfy hammock. The bed in The Essex Room was very comfy with plenty of pillows! We will definitely be back again. Also - the motel is very biker friendly!

Just do not turn lights on after going to sleep. I had 2 rats on me and 13 others in my bags. Most terrible and gross experience ever. I slept in truck after that. Got my partial refund with a big attitude. I will never ever stay in this dump.

We just returned from a weekend motorcycle trip with another couple. We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, and what a find!!! The location is perfect the rooms are very clean and Andy and Joyce the owners are great!!! They are very accommodating to the motorcycle hobbyists and we felt welcome right away. We learned from Andy that for the returning motorcyclists we will be able to call him ahead of time and request any food or libations which we may need and he will pick them up we just pay him for the groceries on arrival. They have a grill for use to prepare your own food and a little fridge in a little community room to keep things cold. The motel also has a nice area to sit outside and just relax even with a fire if you so desire. We have never been to a place that offers this type of service, he even lent us his vehicle so we could go pick up snacks and drinks. THANK YOU ANDY!!!! What a great time we had speaking with Andy what a pleasure, he even pointed us to some great local restaurants to eat, we really enjoyed our meals. We are definitely looking forward to returning to The View Motel hopefully with enough of us to book all the rooms!!!!
