St Ansgar Roman Catholic Church

it is pretty and i feel like home i was there since i was born, i love all the people who are there even father he is like a papa, i love to sing in chorus and i love going there even when he talks about stories like what will happen if you don't go to church. when i don't want to be at home i will always going to church because it is like home to me , i don't know what i will do if i didn't go to church or meet the people that i know today. i just wanted thank you for everything you guys do for us! ❤

Great example of a true Catholic Church. Parish Pastor, Father Eduardo Garcia turned this once liberal, free-spirit community into a church that a true Catholic Church should be. Using old traditional yet TRUE teachings. People may have a hard time understanding these true messages because of their “only going to church to get something” method. Holy Mass is not an entertainment show but a form of worship. & this Church does a great job doing so. Hard to find that anywhere nowadays. This St. Ansgar Parish is great!

There’s a lot about this church I can say. I’ve never been to a church where the priest talks down to people at almost every mass. He constantly talks about money and being 17k less in donations than last year and that we need to give more. I’m all for supporting a church but not because i have to feel obligated. I like doing things that comes from within. Another thing, the rica program is a joke. They are unorganized and they treat you like kids. You pay $190 and on top of that you have to do homework and memorize prayers, take a test to see IF you pass and go to church every week(which is fine) but what confused me was we also had to do 15 hours of community service. First off Rica is supposed to be for adults. Someone who is wedding planning and works 40 plus hours a week and on top of that cares for a child and a home to keep clean and a family to cook for is a lot. They don’t care. They treat you horrible. I’ve never had an experience like i did here. I dreaded coming here because of the priest and the staff in the office. Everyone is miserable here and the priest doesn’t treat your kids well either. Don’t send your kids to the communion or confirmation program either!! You as a parent will be expected to go to 4 hour meetings for no reason. If your into church and old school ways and teaching this is for you. If you are into a more modernized Catholic Church go elsewhere.nnOnly good thing was our teachers. They were nice and only following offices instructions.
