The end justifies the trek. It was wet the day we went, so had to make detours around muddy parts of the trail, as many others have by the looks of the detours. Lusk Canyon is spectacular!

Hiked about 8 miles on the River to River and other trails on December 8. Lots of fallen leaves make rocks and roots hard to see, but views of the rock formations (including the impressive Natural Bridge) are better in winter, and there is not too much horse poop in winter. Creek crossings can be a bit difficult if you're hiking (i.e., not on a horse). I managed to rock-hop but got one foot slightly wet. You may want to carry water shoes.

Went on a hike to Owl Bluff with my wife and friends. We had a great time taking in all the scenery, especially when we crossed Lusk Creek. The water was knee deep & cold! That didn't spoil anything, just made the trip more memorable.

We visited this place after much anticipation! I was so looking forward to the views. I was prepared for some of the trail to be torn up as others had warned about the horses tearing it up. What I wasn't prepared for is for it to be torn up so much that after a little rain, I would have practically had to swim to hike this trail. We tried to go for awhile but it got to the point where there was no way around all of the huge puddles (practically lakes by this point). We turned around and headed back to the car totally bummed that we missed out on this experience because the trail was so torn up.
