Good place to put in kayaks for the All day excursion to Golconda. If you take this trip make sure the creek is way up from a heavy rain. We thought it was but it wasn’t enough on our trip. We weren’t prepared for the long journey. We had to pull our kayaks over fallen trees and over rock beds several times. The first half of the creek was great until we realized we still had A LOT further to go. It was grueling. Saw eagles, several beavers and dams. If you take this trip be sure to have plenty of sunscreen, drinks and stamina. You have been warned. The access is very nice. Would it again if the creek were up, now that I know.
