Vision for Life’s comprehensive vision therapy approach was by far the best I have found after having done a tremendous amount of research. The impact that the vision therapy had on our children’s lives cannot be understated. Both suffered from alternating eye turn out , weak bilateral coordination and Limited peripheral vision. Our older child was seeing double when reading, skipping entire sections of worksheets, taking a long time to complete assignments etc. His organizational and motor skills weren’t very strong either. Now his vision has improved so much that he is a “model student” and extremely focused in school. His motor skills have improved tremendously and his teacher has praised him as one of the most “ with it “ kids in the class noting she’s rarely seen a fourth grader that has his act together so much. Music to our ears. Vision therapy is a year long commitment and requires significant effort on the part of the child and family. The results have been totally worth it and life changing. Dr. Julie and her staff (we worked with Sherry and JoAnne) are knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind and accessible. They have a ton of experience and their approach absolutely works. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Our son Ryan initially did not want to attend weekly vision therapy sessions. But after about four months, he developed camaraderie with therapist Tammy Cleaver. Ryan began to enjoy her personal approach. He learned that she had his best interests at heart and possessed a plan that would be to his long-term benefit. Tammy's style was fun and easy-going, but she made it clear that she expected Ryan to do his exercises at home and not just in the office. If he didn't stay on task, Tammy knew how to push the right buttons to get him back in step. Ryan began to see results, which added to his motivation to succeed through Tammy's guidance. Everything in Ryan's life has changed in the last year. He is performing better in school despite the challenges of remote learning brought about by COVID-19. He has a healthier daily mindset and has seen improved results in baseball, his favorite sport. Ryan also has the self-confidence to try new things, even though they might be challenging. None of this would have been possible without Tammy. It truly has been a life-changing experience for Ryan at Vision For Life.

Vision for Life has changed my life since being in college. I started the program with a lot of vision disabilities and left with slight to hardly any vision issues. I worked with Cheri the most, she’s awesome. She was so patient and kind-hearted to me. I felt like she really understood what I was going through and wanted me to succeed as much as me and my family. Doctor Julie is very knowledgeable and knows what she’s doing for sure; she’s amazing. The whole staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed as soon as I walked in. Thanks to Vision for Life, I’m crushing nursing school!

Vision For Life provides a great service! I am very pleased with them. The only reason for the 4-star rating is that it is a LONG process and it's difficult for kids to stick with the program. And unfortunately online therapy is difficult at this time. My kids are spending too many hours attending school virtually and then to add other online activities is a burden. This is, by all means, not Vision For Life's fault. It is just the time we live in.

Vision Therapy has helped my daughter improve her reading skills and create better studing habits. She is able to study independently. She was not able to copy from the board to her paper. She struggled playing sports because she was not able to see her surroundings. This has all improved with vision therapy.
