Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mount Vernon

Such friendly service and great staff. The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was great. They had gluten free bagels individually wrapped which was greatly appreciated!!!!

LET IT BE KNOWN. My family was traveling called 2 hours out. Lady at desk was all to happy to book us out 2 rooms we needed. But as soon as I was asked about being a member I of course told her yes I was the lady looked up with my email verified it was me, then I said I should have enough points for a free room for one night as I was told. All the sudden I'm told they have no rooms available and have to call the rewards department.. VERY POOR customer service

As usual IHG did a great job. Clean and comfy bed, what else can you ask for now days.

Love everything about this hotel! Love the simple and extremely functional furniture design and layout in guest rooms. Great bath and towels with really comfy beds and pillows. Nice separate, small yet functional kitchenette area with mini fridge, micro and Keurig. Lobby is open and very bright with simple modern furniture and decor. Good breakfast. Staff is super friendly.

The siren imitating child next door went off every hour, two to three times an hour, from 3:30 to 8:30AM. Thankfully, we went to bed at 9, and so did the child, so we got 6:30HRS uninterrupted sleep. The hotel was not full, so we were disappointed that we stayed next to someone that prevented us from having a 5 star experience at this exceptional hotel.nnWe stayed here since it was only 40 minutes from my husband's childhood memories that we revisited on this trip from FL. We also prefer Holiday Inns. Our check in was quick and Catherine was friendly. CDC protocols were followed during our stay (masks, social distancing, hand sanitizers or wipes provided).nnOur room was immaculate, comfortable, and smelled great (not like disinfectant). The bed was comfortable, and the television had plenty of channels for entertainment. We also had a coffee pot (with coffee pods), small fridge (no freezer), microwave, desk area and lounger. We had plenty of outlets and charging ports. Lighting was good, too, with black out shade to enhance privacy and prevent morning sun from awakening us too early.nnBreakfast was perfect for keeping safe & healthy. We could grab and go (muffins and fruit) or select a hot breakfast to take back to the room. We chose the latter, and had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gray, toast & jam, coffee and orange juice. We could have had bagels, teas, cereals & milk, yogurts & more. We ate in our room, observing social distancing requirements.nnCheck out was flawless: quick and friendly, with an apology for the baby siren next door.
