Beautiful. GPS took us all over the place to find it though, would have been easier the way we came home but that allowed us to see the sights. We're looking to start hiking with our kids, and we might have started on a much too challenging Trail for us beginners. So when we get better, we will be back to tackle those.
The park is beautiful with lots of trail choices. Visitors center had some restroom issues (not sure if it was just the day we visited) and could use a sprucing up, but the staff was helpful in directing us to a trail that was good for our family.
This is a beautiful State Park. The Visitor Center is staffed with knowledgeable, friendly staff and is stocked with a lot of information and interesting atrifacts. Clean restrooms. Views from the Scenic Drive atop the bluffs are breathtakingly beautiful.
Beautiful hiking area. We brought along our 3 and 5 year old and they were eaily able to finish a trail.
I've been visiting Pere Marquette since I was a small child. My great grandfather helped build it with the CCC. I've been to a lot of places, but it's still one of my favorite parks.
