The reviews about large portion sizes are to be believed. I got the crab leg and shrimp lunch special and could have easily split it with another person. Everything was delicious, swimming in garlic butter, and hot even though I showed up a few minutes late and had a 15 minute drive home. I will absolutely tell my friends about this place and will be a return customer!

EDIT: This is a story of redemption. My first experience here was worse than terrible. But, I decided to give them a second chance (as one always should) so I ordered the exact same meal as before - and I couldn't be more impressed. Second time around my order was ready in 27 minutes, was exactly as ordered, and was still a plentiful portion of high-quality seafood.nnGreat job to the owners and staff on working out the kinks. It's like they don't even track orders or something.nnThe lady in front of me waited for an hour and a half before being told that they had actually run out of chicken tenders and she ended up leaving with no food.nnI ordered a shrimp boil and was told it would take about a half an hour - which seemed somewhat reasonable because they were pretty busy. When I came back 30 minutes later to pick it up, it was not ready. It ended up taking nearly another hour before my food was ready.nnWhatever is going on in the kitchen needs to be fixed ASAP. I saw literally dozens of bewildered, angry and hungry customers fuming as they watched this train wreck unfold.

I love seafood and this place did not disappoint! I did an online order pick up and from the time I went and picked up my food and then went to target real fast and then went home, my food was still hot! The food was amazing, I ordered a shrimp boil and there was plenty of shrimp in there to fill me up along with the potato and corn. I highly recommend this place for seafood in Ames and I will definitely be coming back!

I got the shell bucket and was amazed by the quality of the food. It's hard to find good seafood in Iowa, but they've managed to do it. Though at the moment they're carry-out only, I'm definitely gonna visit again soon.

We went here thinking it was take out only because of COVID, but the dining room happened to be open today. Everything was great! Service was great, food was great. My husband is pescatarian so we will definitely be making this one of our regular spots! We can’t wait to come back!
