Dr. Jay Johnson has always been professional and thorough at my various appointments. I never have a long wait to get in to see him, and he never rushes me through. Even after treating/seeing me for the issue that I am in for, he always asks what else can he do for me. He also responds very quickly through the UnityPoint website/app when I send him questions. I highly recommend Dr. Jay Johnson.

Don't know what the negative remarks are for. I have had Dr Jay Johnson as my PCP and also my Gynecologist for years. The Dr has always been very calm with me, has always answered all my concerns, made suggestions. Followed up with me on blood work or a UA. I would recommend this Dr to others.

Went to see Dr johnson as a new patient. Was rude and more concerned about why we went to see him. Will not go back

Dr. Johnson is my primary care physician. He’s pretty thorough, but not particularly cordial. My biggest concern is that he doesn’t answer my follow up questions on the Unity Point Patient Portal. It’s possible that he’s spread too thin with the workload. However, I plan to continue seeing him.

This doctor ignores his patients and blames it on, we have a lot of patients?? Shouldn't there be a limit if they cannot handle who you treat, just saying. Terrible doctor!nnI have a seizure disorder, which I would think would be important for physicians, not at this location. My blood work got missed and he kept filling my prescriptions, which ended up with a low amount in my system and is now costing me more money then normal maintenance and care, due to playing catch up on the issues of low levels. A lot of different clinics in Des Moines, make sure you look before going to this clinic!
