I almost never leave reviews but I feel people need to know this. I was pleased with them until they charged an extra $150 because he didn't have a tall A-Frame ladder to get into our attic so he had to come back. Seriously? Isn't that kind of your job, to have a ladder to do appraisals. Not my fault that you weren't prepared. Very frustrated and feeling walked over.

They are honest in value and do their research on difficult properties. I can always depend on their opinions and experience. I have personally referred them multiple times to clients and trust them on my personal properties.

My experience with Adam of Burris Appraisals was not pleasant. He measured and calculated the square footage of my home incorrectly. He noted that we had 2-tone paint and not 3-tone paint. He also noted that we were on a slab, but we have a 4 ft crawl space with cement floors. He was insistent that he measured the square footage of my home correctly and that my builder “must not have built your home to spec.” He was condescending stating several times “you would expect that in that kind of home.” You might expect a home in Salt Lake to have the types of upgrades our home does, but not in a remote area where we are located. Class Appraisal ended up doing our appraisal and did a very fair evaluation of the value of our home. They were professional and courteous. I am glad that we were able to use the appraisal from Class Appraisal instead of the one done by Burris Appraisals.
