We had a lease agreement to end near the beginning of this year. Covid hit and a lot of us were forced to leave due to school and work. We continued to pay our rent and when our lease was up, we thought everything was good on our end. They were very unwilling to help us out in any way and we felt that we were just another monthly payment that they wanted. Had to pay about $1300 in extra rent and fees when none of us were living there. Very hard to deal with and ruined our plans for the future.
I applied with a few roommates to live here. As part of the application, we were each charged $40 for an application fee and one was charged $150 for a lease initiation fee. Altogether we paid $310 for our application to be submitted.
On there website, it states there turn time for applications is 7 days. After
about 2 weeks of not hearing anything we were notified of another available apartment that would be better suited for us. We switched gears went with the other apartment.
We then called to withdraw our application and were told no refunds were possible after 72 hours of the application. We were also told they had not even looked at our application. I'm disappointed that the fees are not partially refundable. I understand the $40 fee but, in no way did they earn $150 for "lease initiation." I am glad we decided against living here. I can assume they have numerous other additional hidden fees.
Please please please either light up apartment signs, put it on the parking stall, or publish a no of where everything is online. Delivery drivers will sometimes spend over 15 minutes in the complex trying to find an apartment. None of the signs are lit up, and it is a literal nightmare to find an apartment there.
I have loved living at Four Seasons, the charges are super easy to follow if you read your lease and ask questions if you don’t understand something. You pay your base rent price, 99 media package that has fiber optic internet and a cable box (I do not have a cable box but I still pay the 99 which I’m okay with, you do have to return the cable box before you move out if you get it) and then your utilities which are based on what your unit consumes. There is a rent plus option which reports to the credit bureau each time you pay your rent on time it’s 8.95 a month per Individual or 14.95 per household (I have moved apartments and I still opted in the second time, I actually see rent plus on credit karma so I really like that I don’t have to get a credit card and spend lots of money to build my credit.You can easily opt out once you move in though. Maintenance guys here are awesome my ac wasn’t working the beginning of this week and they were within 30 min from when I called (they get to you sometime within 3 hrs during business hours, but are still able to fix things that are a necessity after hours).Also you do have to give a 60 day notice before you move out, it states it in the lease so just be mindful it is a huge property. During COVID-19 the spa services weren’t available but they now are. I know that they are also willing to figure out payment options for those that need it you just have to call in and talk to someone.
We lived here for a year and loved everything about it. The people around us were kind the facilities were great and the staff was easy to deal with. We had a hard time building because it kept getting delayed each week they would push us another week Four Seasons was willing to let us keep pushing and pushing and were very nice to let us stay as long as we did. We are so grateful for there staff and the awesome people they are!
