The lady's in the office and the principle Ms Bailey, and also Mr. Hall are all genuinely GREAT people, and great at what they do. They will go out of their way to help you achieve your goals!! Unfortunately, despite the heroic efforts of the administration staff, the automotive program fell WAY short of not only mine, but many of my classmates from my own class, previous class, and the following classes expectations. The instructors seem like they could care less if your learning what you need to know to prepare you for a career in the automotive industry. Most of us in the three classes I attended with would agree that the majority of our time spent the was wasted, literally doing nothing as opposed to hands on training. The instructors did next to nothing to help us prepare for the ASE tests, and only three of us out of four separate year long classes passed any of the tests and received any of the certifications that are of value. This we would all agree is not due to the lack of student effort, but the lack of instruction and tutelage under the current automotive instructors. The majority of students drop out due to this very reason. And the majority of those who stay, stay to receive the tools at the end. I feel that everything I learned there is from my own initiative to study and teach myself. Also, I felt that my questions were met with a bit of disdain, and had I been a less driven individual it would have snuffed out my desire to continue, like it did many of our classmates. I feel bad writing this only because I fear the negative connotations may be projected onto the rest of the school. Which would be a shame, because the rest of garnet career center is an amazing place, where great things are happening, and the staff cares about your future. I wish I could say the same for the automotive program, but honestly cannot.

Back when I went they gave me a bunch of free tools and a tool box for graduation basically, which was pretty awesome. It's extremely easy to pass, basically all you have to do is show up and you pass. Only downside is it is a very very boring year! Hahaha
