I have had breakfast and lunch there for a little over a year really nice. I used to belong to the Charleston Children's Theater our work shop was in the basement. I love the building I asked a Sexton there what the Episcopal Church believed in and he answered by saying basically they take all the fun out of the Catholic Church ud83dude01 No matter the denomination they feed lots of people could have more of a breakfast larger servings. Mountain Mission Out Reach is better for me because we have chapel 15 min b4 breakfast lunch and dinner there food is awsome and they serve seconds. Sadly my best meal breakfast has stopped for now hoping with prayer they bring it back ud83dude4f soon. Thank you manna meal and the Episcopal Church.

Walked to church for evening prayer. Got there 10 minutes early so I could enjoy contemplative prayer before prayer service. A Skype meeting was happening in the sanctuary so I was lead away into a side room. No one knew if or where evening prayer would happen.

Amazing, accepting, loving, giving, caring people come together to make up the community that is St. John's. Not only are they a congregation of a church, they are a group of people that give back to their community and to the people that make up that community. St. John's is a home to a food bank that feeds hot meals to whomever that is in need and a food bank that gives to other food banks and backpack programs. St. John's opens their doors to Al-anon, Al-ateen, and AA meetings providing help, support and an accepting space to those that need it and rely on it. They provide a safe and loving space for reading camps and different programs for the future generation. St. John's accepts everyone and doesn't judge or discriminate against race, gender, religion, sexuality, homelessness but rather accept with open arms the community that surrounds them.

I have found a church home where I am loved and we truly do God's work. Saint John's is special because we are leaders in the community for compassionate action. I can't say enough about how proud I am to be a member of this loving community of faith.
