We got stuck on the lake, and they came to the rescue. Quick, efficient and non-judgmental of our situation (ran out of gas). Please donate or support this volunteer service; they are essential!
I have supported them since 1989. They are a great volunteer fire department. Always there day or night if they are needed. The annual barbeque is in April. The funds raised by the barbeque and auction help to support the department's needs for trucks, equipment, gas, maintenance and more. So, head to Onalaska in April to enjoy some of the best food around. During Hurricaine Ike, they used their grills to cook and prepare hit meals for residents from food donated by Sonic and Brookshire Brothers grocery.
