This is our 2nd year at SHSU Charter School and we have been very pleased. We were looking for a smaller environment, but did not want it to be “too” small. This school has been perfect! Our son has been very happy there and he loves going to school every day. The curriculum is challenging, communication with the teachers is clear, they assist you on how to work with your child in areas that need more attention, while helping your child progress forward if he/she excels beyond level expectations. We are so grateful to have found this school! We look forward to both of our boys attending this school for years to come!

We were looking for an alternative to our neighborhood public school because of how large it had grown. I feel like my son is treated like the individual he is at SHSU Charter School Brighton. He's not just another name on a roster. His teachers know him, know his quirks, and are giving him the opportunity to grow academically. We love the feeling of community at the school and are so thankful to have discovered it!

Awesome school with very caring, capable teachers. My kids love it and I love how homework is structured and emphasizes review of concepts they have already learned as well as introducing new ones. Homework is adequate but not overwhelming. All of the staff and volunteers are so engaged, kind, and interested in making sure all of our students ( every student that goes there) reach their highest potential.

The decision to enroll our son at SHSU Charter School - Brighton was an easy one. One of the many qualities we like about the school is its hands-on learning. Our son is excited to go to school each day, the homework load is not stressful, and the teachers are just wonderful!
