The older lady wasn’t wearing a mask. Everyone else was. I suppose the mandatory mask law was taken as just a suggestion. Who am I to judge? Maybe she’s a special case because coworker was wearing one. Everyone else in the building was wearing one. Not her though.nnAs for mailing, yeah. I’ve used them tons. Awesome service and friendly staff. Never experienced a problem. 10/10nnYou can get your mail sent out and Covid all at one convenient place!
Not only have they routinely lost expected mail pieces (that had either tracking or showed up on the digest email) multiple times, but they have ignored our forward now going on two dozen times, with packages and letters - our neighbors being kind enough to mail them back to us at their own cost. The counter is equally well equipped dealing with customers, and that means they are equally incompetent. Seriously avoid this if you can at all help it, it's just not safe to entrust them with anything, outgoing or incoming.
This post office must be one of the most incompetent I have ever dealt with. I had requested an intercept on a package that had been sent to a customers old address. I received a notification that they had intercepted it at 7:18am and would be returning it for which I was charged $14.10. this was followed by a notification that the addressee had refused delivery at 2pm! So not only did they not complete the intercept they also ignored the fact that my customer had a forwarding address on file. The only reason we did not lose the package was because the new tenants are honest. So if you want thing totally screwed up these folk are the post office to use!
EDIT 2: Another fail for the USPS. My package will be 3 days late, though the Paris USPS was in possession of it at 6:49 AM here at the local facility. For some reason with will take them an extra 72 hrs to get it 2 miles across town. I guess I'll keep a running tally of failures on their part. UPS? Somehow they seem to get my stuff here on time. Fedex? They are the worst private shipping company, but leagues better than USPS.nEDIT: 2 days later. Don't expect your package or mail to arrive on time. If your package is delayed at the Paris Post office, tag an extra 2-3 days onto delivery time. See, they wont deliver your package and if you try to pick it up.... well it's in the delivery truck. And the truck wont be back until after the lobby closes. If they lose it, that's not their fault. They don't have your package. You don't have to worry with the US post office. Rest assured that if there is a way that they can screw up, they will. Don't worry though, when (not if) you experience an issue with the post office you will have very little recourse but to just suck it up and accept that you are dealing with a government organization. They can deliver hundreds of pounds of junk mail to your door every year ( I get plenty of it on an incredibly prompt and consistent basis ), and without fail it will get there on time. For mail that you actually want to receive please, for your own sake, choose another carrier.
Need a zero star option. Worst, needs to be leveled and destroyed. Same woman with short white hair is rude EVERY TIME I go there. I am a nice person and did not deserve this. I went for an Amazon return which is 100% free, but she refused to tape it up and put the label on it. I suggest you go to Postal Services at 2448 Lamar Ave. They are always nice and do not give the issues that this place did. I will never go back. Fot anything.
