I filed a police report about 3 months ago about my fence being cut onto my property & some prize boer show goats missing. The area the thief came through is EOG oilfield secured behind a locked gate with restricted access. I still have yet to hear a peep back from the Sheriff's department. Not a single update! Not even a call to say what investigator was assigned to my case!! Absolute 0% consideration!! I guess this is what is expected when the Sheriff's run for office unopposed time after time!? If I could leave a 1/2 star I would! Not very hard to find the thief in my opinion!! Just 199% lack of effort!! All they have to do is ask me & will guide them in the correct direction to catch the thief!!??

I was going to give a 5 star review and congratulate June Garcez on a job well done having a great 2 way conversation with a photographer. She seems like a good deputy and a good person, but sadly it looks like she's the only star in a dark sky. I still gave 4 stars, that's just for her. Not the department. I hope she stays gold and don't let the others corrupt her, but the bad cops tend to run off the good ones because the good ones are outnumbered. The video I watched was from 3 years ago, so she might be gone already.

I called to report a suspicious knocking on my front door after dark. Dispatcher promised me twice that a patrol officer would call me. Never happened! Most citizens I talk to have little to no confidence in the Sheriff's office to provide protection.nMost deputies remind me of 'mall cops' at best. Sad.

Drove through Karnes and was harassed by an older sheriff in a Silverado, claimed I had drugs in the vehicle and he had reports of me racing through town. Mind you I’m from out of town just passing through after buy hunting equipment in kenedy, no previous arrest history or drug use, and I drive a old lifted stock diesel truck that barely does highway speeds let alone race. Once I revealed I had an on board video camera his tone changed and he asked me to shut it off before we continued, when I told him I wouldn’t he got annoyed, I informed him it runs off a hotspot and records not only to an SD card but to my home computer, he told me to leave his town and if he saw me back he would have me arrested and my truck destroyed.nWhat kind of town treats people like that? I’ve never done anything wrong in my life, I’ve never even been in a street race. I’ve contacted my attorney because I’m going through Kennedy up to San Antonio in a couple weeks and I want to be sure this idiot doesn’t hurt my family or myself. I can’t believe you would even give this coward a firearm and a badge, I can only imagine what he does to the folks who live in that town.

Look up a youtube video that is showing this department detaining a citizen photographer when there is no crime committed. Time to train up some officers on trying to stop and identify people who are not breaking any law.
