Gypsy Lou’s, the epitome of, Emporium- is a retail fusion of hometown pride and worldly humility; a trove of finery, confections, of all things self-care and indulgent.nnCrystal greeted me on the floor with grace and hospitality, she offered hot cocoa, coffee and genuine customer service before the nomadic itinerant herself- Laurie Jauer Carrothers aka Gypsy Lou- charmed me to explore her vision beyond boutique and gifts.nnGypsy Lou’s Emporium has ‘something for everyone’ and Laurie is the exemplar, because engagement and sincerity came at no cost. There was no pressure to purchase, rather the encouragement, or the invitation to experience what is vital to being human: connection. Together we searched the store, shared stories, and naturally we fell upon the gift that called me in.nnWhat I spent monetarily, I gained incomparably in inspiration. I left with an exceptional kimono- an innovative piece, handcrafted in partnership with a women’s cooperative. I left with insight. I left with kinship. And I certainly left with the confidence in my return.
