I have two kids in the Commerce School District and I consider us to be very lucky. They are at the elementary and middle schools. Both schools are fantastic about communicating with us regarding the goings on with the students. My kids are very busy with their activities and really enjoy school!

As a parent I know that the school district is doing as much as they can do to make sure that my daughter is in a safe learning environment. She has always been comfortable and at home throughout her school years. She is now in the high school has been able to take advantage of all the opportunities that they have provided her.

My children are too young to have elective choices, but I know they will have lots of opportunities to pick a direction that they want to go into. It is nice to know that they will not be limited when they get older and that the school supports individuality and exploration of new topics and electives.

Commerce ISD has caring, compassionate teachers. The Administrators desire to keep students first. Partnership with Texas A&M Commerce for college credit courses makes this a great school district to prepare students for college and beyond.

I've been really impressed with the way communication has improved between my family and the school. Between the text alerts and daily notifications, we are in constant contact with the school. If we reach out to them, they are always sure to give a quick reply. As a parent, that's really comforting.
