I called ahead of time to make sure when I arrived I had everything I need and when I called the person that answered just seemed like they were rushing me off the line and not really helpful. It would’ve been nice if they had mentioned that EXACT change is needed..hopefully the customer service gets a little bit friendlier especially when you’re not familiar to with the city procedures.
I saw over 20 cases in small claims court where the judge side unanimous with the landlord, instead of tenants. To the court they do not recognize ANY personal damages, proper receipt are the only thing that get attention. In one morning, I saw two single mothers put out on the street with no where to go. They had 3 days to be homeless or appeal there case for an even higher court fee, and all they didn't is want the mold fixed that was hospitalizing from nodes on her throat. Not to mention the fact that they deny my settlement based on a lie (landlords don't have to give back deposits for over 3 months with reminders, as long as they have the intention of being sorry about it and paying eventually, double standard). Had a tenant been late paying rent, there would be no question that the tenant had to paid a late fee, but it is not the same of landlords, literal impunity. No justice here, just a bunch of old people getting paid.
