Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ennis

I probably wouldn't even give it one star if I didn't have to. When we checked in, the front desk person let us know that they are only cleaning the rooms every 5 days and since we were going to be there for only 4 days, we would not be getting housekeeping services. Which, honestly was fine with us because we rarely need the room cleaned while traveling. However, she failed to mention that the elevator was broken when she gave us the key to our room. Once we saw the sign and returned to the desk to ask where the stairs were, she told us and we were on our way. After hauling our luggage up the two flights of dirty stairs we stepped into our room. The main light was broken and wouldn't turn on. There was a giant hole in the ceiling that had recently been plastered over and appeared to be still in process of repair. There were also dirty water stains all over the lower half of the curtains. The carpet did seem to be new, but wasn't secured to the floor and would roll up near any piece of furniture. Overall the room was just not clean. We booked this hotel for 3 nights and were in a suite since we were on a longer stay. I cannot believe we paid over $100 a night for this disgusting place. The hallway stunk like dirty diapers or rotting trash, making me want to hold my breath whenever we'd leave our room.nI've stayed at a number of Holiday Inns throughout my life and have always had positive experiences. So this was.a total shock and disappointment. We have family in Ennis and will never stay at this hotel again when visiting.

Umm.yeah mates figured it would be about $79.00 for a bed but costed about $156.00 clean an tidy but man gave 5 star not for price ugggh.days inn may have been better its clean too from what I have been told.5 star is for employees not hotel chain for sure aye.........ud83dude1fud83dude1fud83dude1fud83dude1f

The room was clean, and all staff was extremely nice. 10/10 stay. Had no issues with anything. Will definitely come back again

I purchased my room on Priceline, and the person at the desk booked my Credit Card a second time even after showing it was paid in full and that Priceline sends them a virtual MasterCard to pay for it. I could see my activity on my phone, so I could see the charge, but they said it was fine and wouldn’t do anything. I finally had to deal with Priceline to take care of it, but after a long day traveling with a 4 he flight delay across the country, it was the last thing I wanted to deal with late at night. Just mad a long day that much longer, and I would never stay here again. The hotel is not that clean and the AC in my rooms sounds like a jet airplane. Business travelers be aware and stay away from this place.

The lady at the front desk (Sherlyn) a wonderful person went out her way to help me clean a mess on my bus when a hotel guest got sick she didn't have too but she did she have a good personality and didn't get mad at all when I kept asking her for things
