Ennis Public Library

I love our Ennis Public Library!! The people that works there are awesome. They're always nice and knowledgeable about books and everything library. My kids love the children section. We love the Reading Program so much that we participated as family. Please stop by and check it out.

Best library in the area. Librarians are always friendly, available to help , with pleasant attitude. Love them.

This rating is purely based on my experience not the library itself the library itself is fine for a small town library. I walked into the library needing to use one of their computers to print out some forms due to my printer being on the fritz. When i walked in i walked up to the counter and there were several employees behind the counter gossiping amongst themselves. They saw me walk in and made eye contact with me but chose to ignore me and continue with their conversation. Once i finally got their attention i asked to use one of their computers. They pointed me in the correct direction and told me someone would be with me shortly. So once i was in the area i needed to be at i waited for the person in charge of this area to arrive. Almost 10 mins go by and no one shows up. Surely the person in charge of this area is somewhere else and is busy at the moment i thought. I looked back towards the front counter and made eye contact with one of the ladies up at the front counter just as a sort of silent reminder that i was still back here waiting. So after waiting a bit longer i grew impatient as i was in some what of a hurry, i went back to the front counter where these ladies were still gossiping and let them know that no one has shown up in the back area. Turns out the lady that was in charge of that area was one of the ladies that was gossiping up at the front counter this ENTIRE TIME! They all saw me come in they all saw and heard what i was there to do since i had to interrupt their conversation to get their attention in the first place. Seems a little rude to be ignored by the very people who are suppose to be there to help the public in the first place. Like i mentioned before this rating is purely based on my experience not the library itself.
