Beaches around here are dirty and there is no enforcement of the litter laws. 4 wheel drive owners race on the beach and tear it up. Litter is everywhere and people leave trash and used belongings behind. Surfside has patrols, but they only watch for speed and people driving in the wrong direction. Bryan and Quintana beaches have no police patrols present. If there is a problem you have to wait 30 minutes for Freeport police to get there. No towing companies will come out to help anyone

The public beach is well maintained, and the local sheriff's office patrols the beach. There is a Surfside Beach that is pay to use but the county beach is longer, wider and just as well maintained.

Always a fun place to take my family to enjoy the ocean and sand. Surf fishing can be fun
