Rodeway Inn & Suites

Room was clean and nice. They did a decent job remodeling. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do require a $100 deposit which isn't stated online. But it gets refunded. I will stay here again!

We stayed here on a stop through the area on a hiking trip. We stayed in the newer rooms in the back. The room was updated and clean, had a good coffee pot and the bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable as well. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the air conditioning unit did not cool as low as I would have preferred.

We got a king bedroom (101) and it was absolutely beautiful. I literally have no complaints. I will rate everything below on a scale from 1-5.nnA/C: (5)nCleanliness: (5)nBreakfast: (5)nShower pressure: (5)nLinens: (5)nnBreakfast-- consisted of corn flakes, raisin bran, milk, OJ, pastries, yogurt, coffee, bagels, toast.nnWe were thrilled to be here, thanks so much for having us! Great job on this hotel. I give 5 stars!!

This was like staying in Bates Motel in Walhalla, South Carolina.nnI booked this room because I was picking my mother up at the state park from a week long backpacking trip. It was the closest to the mtn and I knew she wanted to shower immediately. Little did I know that was all we were going to do before leaving.nnWhen checking in, there were two signs on the door mandating masks but the man checking me in was not wearing one despite touching face before handing me paperwork to sign and the key card.nnI asked about different room accommodations and he said It was all they had. I asked about this because of the guest with a garage sale amount of junk strewn through the parking lot. Little did I know that the room I was in was the one between that guest and the check in driveway; despite the backlot of the hotel with the additional rooms being empty.nnWhen we got in the room it was sticky and musty as the A/C was off. It was a tiny room no bigger than 15x15 including the bathroom. You barely get in the room before running into the king size bed. I needed to use the bathroom and when I sat down, the toilet shift and hit the wall from not being secure to the floor. I looked up and all the walls had mold, partially filled holes, drill holes, caulking drippings and what looked like splattered dried blood on the the ceiling.nnWhen my mother was in the shower, she exclaimed “WE ARE NOT STAYING HERE”. The wall that soap holder was the same to the guest next door and was missing all the hardware from it, as well as a brick sticking out from the wall with a clear gap in the caulking.nnWhen drying off in the bedroom, my mother stepped on a handtowel, when she picked it up, the side the floor was on was covered in orange like dirt.nnThe electrical outlet was sticking so far from the wall that you could see the back of the casing.nnThere was a finger sized gap in the door which was not assuring considering the surroundings.nnI get that the hotel is a two star hotel; it’s not the ritz but it was like a horror movie set or a room you would see in a documentary of call girl addicts working out of motel rooms.nnHad the room been clean, it was would been a great deal but it was not. Instead it was the most expensive shower my mother has ever taken.

Very nice people, clean rooms, reasonably priced. Not 5 stars as if you have asthma or allergies be careful walking into the office as the incense is very strong. It's nice, but not if you have a lung disorder or allergies.
