We're customers for years and intent to remain customers as long as they continue their safe and considerate customer service. They're wonderful.
I recently dropped off a pile of Nutcracker costumes to be cleaned by Brickle's following our production. Brickle's has been cleaning the ballet's costumes for about 20 years. The lady at the front desk had recently transferred from the Evans location. She abruptly refused to clean the costumes and alerted me that they had no garment tags on them. I explained that these are originals designed and executed by the ballet's costumers and that Brickle's had successfully cleaned them for the past 20 years. She was immovable and absolute in her decision. I was more surprised by the abrupt switch in policy than I was disappointed that I would have to go elsewhere after all these years. One employee can add so much or sometimes take away from what has been a very satisfying customer service relationship.
The 2 star rating is due to Brickles new policy of paying for your cleaning at time of drop off. Completely asinine. And their new big blue, in you face sign is just the icing on the cake. So after more of 25 years with them I'm off to a new cleaners.I've heard the reasoning is due to people dropping off and not picking up. Am sure that is industry wide. I dont pay for car repairs, medical services, or a dinner. They're not the only game in town so off to my new cleners.
