School trending in right direction. While it has had problems in the past, the last 12 months indicates that this school is going to be bigger and better. New leadership, biggest graduating class last June, improved test scores, largest to date seniors who were accepted to 4 year colleges, disciplinary referrals down and a renewed excitement about giving today's youth a chance to be successful citizens.nnIts not how you start, but how you finish and Greg Mathis Charter School gives ALL YOUTH a chance to overcome their past and present circumstances and get a quality high school education.

This school caters to kids with various challenges. The school has been in survival mode, but there are several fighting for the kids who attend to ensure a string educational experience. There is a new principal who is fully engaged with the kids and the staff is focused on continuous improvement.
