The Ashley Inn is a gem in the middle of downtown Charleston. It is walking distance to King Street and right next to MUSC. It’s off of 17, so easy access to Mt. Pleasant or West Ashley. We stayed in the newly redecorated carriage house. Our room had a kitchenette, which was perfect for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming place to spend a weekend. Quiet and quaint. All the amenities and a comfortable bed. Walking distance to markets, shopping, and restaurants.nStaff was quick to respond. Will be staying here again; hopefully soon.

We didn’t receive check-in instructions before our arrival and couldn’t get into building. We were able to get in contact with someone and they e-mailed us directions with very limited info. Upon entering our room we noticed there were no towels, not even a hand towel. We called the same number multiple times and sent messages via text and got no response. Another guest actually offered us their extra towels. We saw no one and were contacted by no one who worked at the property. We weren’t told if there were bikes to access or any other information like where to park if the tiny lot filled up. There is no staff or service offered during your stay here. No breakfast or anything else. Maybe if your lucky you will have some towels. It’s not what I expect from an inn experience and don’t plan to stay here in the future.

Beautiful and cozy! I enjoyed my stay. The TV was small but other than that. It was a good stay

While the location was convenient and the house itself was just darling, the customer service was less than acceptable. Upon arrival, we were unable to enter the main entrance without a door code, which was not provided. After calling the contact number, provided on my confirmation email and on the website directly, several times with no answer, I left a voicemail. Once contact was finally made, we were given instructions on where and how to enter, which could have easily been included on the confirmation email. We were also advised that free parking was provided next to the Inn, superseding the “book your parking” $15 parking spot listed on the website. After entering our room we quickly realized that it was not the same room pictured/ booked on the website. While the only significant difference was the lack of veranda access that was advertised and pictured, it was a major disappointment as that was the main reason for booking. The room was super cute and cozy, however missing any welcoming information about the area or even that of the Inn itself and the details of breakfast. The information on what and where breakfast was served is still yet to be determined, and was not worth the effort to even try to find out. Such a disappointing first impression of not only the Inn, but the bed and breakfast concept in general considering this was my first time at a B&B.
