We stayed in the Kendall Suite which was absolutely everything we needed. We had our own entrance behind the building and a parking spot right next to the door. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was perfect for a girls weekend and the location was the best part. We were able to walk to everything on King St and Uber to the beach.

Update:nThe owner was very responsive in following up and testing for any bugs in our room. They said they didn't find anything. While this is a very charming place, it's definitely not a place we will consider in the future, only due to the extreme noisy neighbors we had during our stay. This may not be everyone's experience. The owner is very professional and it's clear that she cares about her customers experiences. Thank you for that!nnOriginal:nVery cute, very charming. The room was clean. If you want to get any sleep, this may not be the place for you. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it ended up being a disruptive night with little sleep. I thought hearing the neighbors have sex was mildly entertaining, but then about 2 am the other neighbors came back and were arguing quite loudly. Rebekah and Holly sounded like bickering sisters. It sounded like we were all in the same room as we could hear the intimate details of their conversation. Earplugs and a sound maker was provided in our room, but didn't help much. When we got up this morning I noticed several bites all over my body. Over all, It was a super cute and charming place, but definitely not an ideal experience for older more mature guests looking for a quiet restful evening.

I stayed here during my first stay in Charleston. It's located right in between uptown and midtown. So it's quite convenient. You can walk all the way down to the river in 20 minutes. There bunch of bars and restaurants. This place is popular among young people. So you may hear some conversations from other room or downstairs. But the overall stay was more than satisfactory.

Had a very enjoyable stay in this hostel last June 2019. I stayed in the upstairs part of the house for 5 nights, a welcome change from the predictable cheap & cheerful chain hotels. Location was superb for me but it wouldn’t be considered a well to do area if that bothers you ~ it doesn’t me !nAt no time did I feel unsafe.nnFire Station down the road a little noisy yes but all in all I enjoyed this place.nLittle coffee shop up the street was handy & hostel is a few blocks walk from busy King St. I hardly had a need for Uber, I could walk everywhere.nnI am Irish so was fascinated to find an Irish Church with a cemetery dating back to the 1850’s & indeed with many Irish that would have come over to the USA to escape the Great Famine & for whatever reason landed in Charleston!nI love Charleston & the south in general for such fantastic hospitality, charm & overall friendliness. I felt my room cosy & homely.nnThere is a Manageress who lives on site so that was a plus as I was traveling alone :)

I love and miss this hostel a whole lot. Charleston is one of my all-time favorite American Cities. Can’t wait to come back again soon! YAY!!!!!
