We booked with Janet before reading reviews because she was a preferred vendor for our venue. I curiously read reviews after paying the deposit just because and was shocked to see negative ones as so far, I had a great experience with Janet. I asked the opinion of my venue and even expressed some concerns to Janet and was assured that everything will be up to par - and boy was it! Janet was not only a great vendor but a friend during this crazy planning process. She always spoke to me as an equal and didn't mind explaining things to me. It was always like talking a friend rather than a vendor! She responded to emails quickly, and always helped in anyway she could. I am so glad we went with Janet and would do it a hundred times over. She did a desert bar, pasta bar, cake, and bar for us. Everything was delicious and all guests were happy. I would confidently recommended her to anyone.

For the life of me I cannot understand why this lady doesn’t have 5/5 she is heaven sent!! She made my wedding day a breeze. She took care of literally everything! Cake, decorations, cocktail hour, drinks, dinner, flowers! You name it she does it. I can’t imagine trying to juggle everything without Janet. She is a grade A wedding planner and everyone needs a Janet on their big day! From the moment we met I knew she would be who we needed. Any concerns I had she took care of them. From the venue to the littlest details. I can’t imagine the stress I would have felt not having Janet there to handle all the wedding details. She is amazing and she is a great person to work with. I will recommended her for all of my friends and family members. I highly recommended Janet. The cake she made was just delicious! I liked Janets cake more than I liked the grooms cake that we paid $300 for! I seriously dream about her cake. If you are doubting Janet because of these reviews please don’t! She is affordable and realistic about everything. We had a $12,000 budget and decided to change to plated dinner last minute. She handled it with no issues at all! Her crew was great as well. Don’t think twice about Janet call her now! The key to having a stress free amazing wedding is having Janet!! We will love Janet forever and she will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Janet with Okie Cookies Catering was hands-down the greatest service we could have ever asked for on our wedding day. She has catered, done florist work and set the bar and tables for literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of weddings. Spectacular attention to detail, incredible communication and very inspired foods. Her rates were the best in the area, but I'd pay her top-dollar to have her cater and care for us again. The entire wedding experience was low-stress, and we were filled with ease and confidence the entire week of our big day--because of her. Stay far away from this company. The owner is a liar. Her food was cold and not even up to code. It seemed as if it was heated in a microwave and set in chafing pans last minute. She says she does things and she doesnt and blames it on everyone else to try and make herself look good. She charges you for things and does not deliver the goods. She is not worth a dime you might spend on her. Also her two person staff was drunk by the end of the night.

Okie Cookies Catering came with a glowing recommendation from the venue that we chose, but we are only led to believe that they were requested because the owner and wedding planner, Janet Wilhite, is close with the owner of the venue. A few things that we paid for were: a s’mores bar, a hot chocolate bar, boutonnieres, and ufffccorsagesufffc (The caterers also doubled as the florists for the venue). My cousin only requested these specific things on her big day and the caterers and wedding planner promised that they would make it happen, so long as we paid for them in advance. Well, we did pay, and we only received the ufffcboutonnieres for the groomsmen and the fathers of the couple. We also requested a chair with 5 roses to be set up at the front to represent our late loved ones, and though we didn’t specifically pay for that, the wedding planner promised that they would be there. So as far as I’m concerned, we need to be reimbursed for all of the things that were paid for in advance but the wedding planner didn’t hold up their part of the deal. On top of not receiving those few items, the food that was served looked to be pre-made and frozen. And while served, it wasn’t even heated up to health code temperature. Now, 2 days later, we are constantly receiving texts and calls from our family (numerous family members and nearly the entire grooms party) saying that they’ve all gotten sick after the wedding. We also were told that the ufffchors d’oeuvres and entrees were meant to feed up to 200 people, but the starters barely fed half of our guests, and the servers for the entrees skimped on the veggies for everyone and they took the rest home for themselves without even consulting my aunt, who paid for the whole meal. As well as the food not being what we expected, the cake that was made (while it tasted good) did NOT look anything like the picture that was given. I am very upset with how the caterers and the venue have handled our situation. Being in this profession, they should know how important their word and the requests of the bride are. They are all extremely unprofessional and have turned a day of love and excitement into a day that we will look back on and feel very annoyed and disrespected.
