Animal Emergency & Trauma Hospital

The veterinarians and staff were amazing! This was our third time bringing a pet here and each time they've shown so much compassion! They did everything necessary to save our 8 year old corgi/ chihuahua this time. They provided us with very thorough updates twice daily and made sure we were well informed any time a decision needed to be made. They also made sure that she had healed well enough physically before they sent her home with us, and knew when she would probably respond to some of her treatment better once she had been placed back in our care. Highly recommend. I have a reactive dog that struggles at the vet. I felt that the whole team worked amazing with him, and I was surprised that they were able to get everything done without sedation. Thank you Dr. Richmand and team!

I will start by stating our sweet Minnie Sue was a healthy vibrant 9 yo pup who shared moments of joy with us everyday. I am not a fan of being overly emotional or hyper reactive.nnUpon entering this facility with her limp body in my arms, we were yelled at about money, they took her away from me to the back, then said they would withhold life saving actions until payment. I understand business. They then used my Sweet puppy's life as a negotiating tool, admitted after I agreed and paid they would most likely not be able to save her life. They pumped me for money using my emotions and the fact my children were there and emotional as well.nnThey administered the meds for euthanasia and my precious puppy showed signs of panic and discomfort, causing my children and I greater distress after making the most difficult decision to have her euthanized. She then bled out from her mouth as the final euthanasia med was administered, causing even more panic and distress for me. The vet appeared alarmed as well then brushed off my concern.nnI will forever question the care she received due to the staff's callous and uncaring treatment towards us. The veterinarian bashed our regular vet, spoke poorly of their reputation and told me they would most likely not take my puppy for aftercare if she survived.nnSadly this is the only option for emergency vet care.

Took my chocolate lab to get her eye checked out since she couldn't open it very well. They were extremely busy but got to us quickly and checked out quickly. Great staff!

Brought my dog in when she slipped and fell and fractured her femur. They were concerned because of her old age so they had to run additional tests and kept me in the loop the whole time. Come to find out she had cancer growth in her leg and it spread to her lungs. I had a million and one questions and the doctor was very patient with me and told me the options I had and each possible outcome in detail. Unfortunately I felt the right thing to do was to euthanize my baby. Every staff member and vet was so very sweet and understanding of my situation. I never felt like they pushed me for money and was never told “pay or we won’t do this procedure”, which I feel like is a given at an animal hospital anywaynBut I do find peace knowing I did what was best for my Ginger girl, and knowing she received the best care possible here.
