They are fixing up the bridge so right now it's covered up.

This place was a landmark long before OTH. When you get here you know your close to locating the longtime heroin center of south eastern North Carolina. It's also renowned as on the list of most dangerous spans in North Carolina. It would have been replaced about a hundred years ago when it was meant to but the area had little influence.nThe only reason they have a bridge there at all is it was needed only to cross the man made trench made by the railroad when that was the main way to travel.
