I showed up right when they were closing 6 months ago in September because I had split my chin open and needed stitches. I was stopped outside and was told they were closing and couldn’t help me, which is fine. But here we are in March and for some reason i’m getting billed for that night. So I strongly recommend not even stepping near this place if you don’t want a debt collector crawling breathing down your neck.

Called customer service to pay a bill. She was very nice and very professional. I see bad reviews on here for people going in to the business and for that I can’t say.

First, these physicians tried to discharge me once they were made aware I was uninsured even though I was unable to walk with a herniated disc. They loaded me full of drugs, told me I would likely need surgery, and tried to send me on my way with a bill that was over $1000. Received a bill and set up a payment plan in February 2020. Never received another bill or phone call from them once this was done. They sent my account to collections during the pandemic and it is now showing on my credit report. No contact whatsoever until a year later and from a debt collector. The debt collector had all of my information correct and upon login so did ECEP. It appears that during a national pandemic they forgot about billing but decided once everything settled down to send their former patients to collections without so much as another bill or phone call. Seems as though their billing aligns with their treatment.

Edit on 3/20/2021- I contacted the billing department again in February and had a much shorter wait time. They redirected me back to the main office as my account had been closed on their end. The main office was incredibly helpful this for around and they were able to get everything sorted out for me. They were kind, quickly, and incredibly helpful. I feel cannot give a 5 star review based on the amount of confusion/time spent/unnecessary stressed caused/impact on my credit score and financial capabilities. However, I am pleased with the final outcome and am incredibly appreciative of the work put in at this time.n—————————- original postnBilling department had my old information and thus filed to the wrong insurance, sent letters to the wrong address. It ended up in collections. I reached out to them when I saw this on my credit report and they filed a claim to my insurance. The insurance for some reason denied it, though I was never reached out to again and found out only from calling every two weeks to check on the status. They filled an appeal for me. It’s now been over two months since the appeal and I am still calling 1-3 times a month. The last time I called I was told to reach out to my insurance company directly to find out what’s going on. So I called insurance and they told me it had to be this agency. I called the agency back today giving them the back story and they said they would have to transfer me *again* to the billing department, but unfortunately it’s closed. Every time I call billing there is over 1-2 hour wait and I have to make sure I’m available for a call back. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I had such a great experience with ECEP 2, PA. I received excellent care, and when I was finally able to settle my debt the experience was equally enjoyable. I've never said that before. Connie and Sharron in billing go above and beyond! Thanks Ladies.
