Great place to get a good workout and mileage in off-road. Also good for hiking and walking. Watch out for snakes in the warmer months.

The trail makes for a nice biking workout. The sand adds to the difficulty. The trail rolls up and down over hills constantly - there is very little 'flat' trail! Note that the boardwalk at Rockfish Creek is impassable (about 13.5 miles from the north trailhead).

Excellent place to walk or hike. The trails are easy to access, there's parking, and it is well maintained. The total trail is 21 miles, but there are plenty of smaller trails that will let you do a mile or mile and a half.

Not crowded at 11am, all types of terrain. Great for half mile in and back with my two dogs.
