I received a gift certificate from my girlfriend for a straight razor shave from Mark. I was not disappointed, from the moment I walked into the barber shop I felt very comfortable there. Mark greeted me with a smile and was prepared for my appointment. He takes the time to make sure that his space is very clean and organized and you can see it. I spent some time walking around looking at all the memorabilia on the walls and all over the shop. What an impressive collection that Mark has built up over the years. Mark makes sure that you feel comfortable while you are sitting in the chair. I will most definitely recommend Beale Street Barber Shop to everyone that wants a ONE OF A KIND experience!! Thank you Mark for a great straight razor shave and the conversation.

Walking into the shop you can sense a love for the business and all that has gone into the aesthetics of the place. The walls are covered with rockabilly and Elvis memorabilia. I received a shave from the proprietor Mark, who engaged with me in conversation and small talk, up until he put a sharp razor to my face. It was an overall pleasurable experience and he walked me through every step he was taking. Telling me about the products he was using and what their ingredients were. I thoroughly enjoyed my shave. The experience was unlike any other that I had incurred at any barber shop. If you are ever in need of a cut or shave, go see Mark. He will make sure you leave feeling like a rock star. Thanks good sir for the experience and the conversation. I will return.

Awesome experience!! The owner was super friendly, very interesting, and I was very pleased with my haircut. I got an inch taken off my hair that I'm trying to grow out, and a beard shape-up. I bought one of his CDs when I left too!

Mark is THE Best Barber!A true artist with classic Barbering skills. He was my Barber here in NY before he moved to N.C. Me and my Hair have not stopped crying! Wilmington my loss was definitely your gain! Hey Mark,If you ever head north to visit puh-LEEZE pack your tools and give me a shout, otherwise I am contemplating a drive south when pandemic is a little more relaxed! For sure You and Beale ST.are missed!!

Been getting my haircuts and occasional shave at Beal Street now for a couple years.nAlways get compliments from people on the look, but last nite, my wife said it was the best haircut EVER!n...and she's been lookin at me for over 40 years...nNicely done, I'd say!
