Last August my regular dentist informed me that I needed an extraction of a wisdom tooth as it was calcified and prone to infection, and the best option would be to replace it with an implant. As a result, I needed to find a specialist dentist in our community who did extraction’s and implants. I did some due diligence and carefully considered three dentists, and ultimately decided Dr. John Neely would be the best option for me. Dr. Neely did an initial exam, and his team led by his implant coordinator was able to clearly explain the procedure, and the actual costs that would be involved to the penny.nnI chose to have the extraction and implant installed in one visit, using Novocain instead of sedation on August 10th, and had no regrets. The entire procedure took approximately 45 minutes. The surgery took place in a sterile surgical environment, everyone was friendly and polite and worked together as an effective and efficient team. Obviously there was some discomfort, however nothing that was unanticipated or unacceptable, although I was given pain medication I only took two Tylenol that evening and was then on the road to recovery. When I returned for my check up after eight weeks, Dr. Neely did a thorough check up and concluded that everything had healed very well and I could return to my regular dentist for the preparation of my crown, after which he would like to see me again so he could do a final check on my margins. My regular dentist reaction to Dr. Neely’s work was, “wow, Dr. Neely did great work.” In the future if I need another implant I will be sure to return without hesitation to Dr. Neely.

This is the first time I’ve felt compelled enough to leave comments online regarding an experience I’ve had. Let me start by saying I had an absolutely wonderful experience today at Pinehurst Oral Surgery. I completely and without hesitation recommend Dr. Almony and his staff for anyone in need of his services. I was a last minute patient who needed a tooth extraction and after some complications at another dentist office, the office I was at called around for oral surgeons and Dr. Almony was able to see me within 90minutes. From the time I arrived till the time I left every single person was polite, compassionate and did everything they could to put me at ease. I admit I am terrified of going to the dentist, I actively avoid any dentist visit and this was by far and away the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Almony was brilliant when it came time for the actual pulling of my tooth. His application of the numbing medicine was exceptional. The removal of the tooth was flawless and before I knew it we were finished. Dr. Almony’s staff were constantly communicating with me and were super attentive. From the facilities to the personnel everything was top notch. I know this review kinda rambles on but I’m trying my best to convey how impressed and truly touched I was to have been cared for in such a wonderful way. Again, I highly recommend his services, you won’t be disappointed!
