We visit this library usually once a week or every other week for their free children's programs like Storytime and Music and Movement. However sometimes those can be a bit too overcrowded for the space and we have to leave. The children's section of the library has a very nice layout and easily navigable shelves for the kids to check out different books. There is also activities like scavenger hunts, coloring pages, crafts, etc. They have other activities like building blocks, puzzles, and computers with educational programs. I think the only bummer is the annual membership fee if you don't live in the Clayton city limits (And just because you have a Clayton address doesn't mean you qualify.... we don't). If it was a one time fee I would be happy to pay it so my daughter can check out books, but since it is annual and a little steep I can't justify the cost of the membership with the frequency of which we would use it. Other than that though the staff is nice and we like our local little library.

I needed some help finding books for a graduate school assignment. Liza went out of her way to help me. She even made a list of book suggestions, separated by topic! Such a lovely experience with the rest of the staff and their wide selection. Ty!!

We love going to this library! The staff is friendly and helpful. We absolutely love Linda who does the lap sit story time every week! The summer reading program is wonderful for adults and kids. They have lots of scheduled events and book sales through out the year.

Staff was talking constantly - almost an hour of listening to gossip, laughing, and other distracting loudness. Other library visitors using the cell phone at the shared reading tables. I’ve been to restaurants with less chaos.nnWhat ever happened to quiet libraries where people could concentrate? The staff should know better :(

Worst Library I ever heard of! I live in Clayton and pay my taxes. But because I don't live in downtown Clayton, I don't pay a city tax, and can't use the Public Library unless I pay a quarterly fee to the Library. Who ever heard of not being able to use a PUBLIC library? Just ridiculous.....
