Dr V has been treating me for the last 7 years. I feel she is thorough, accurate & down to earth. She is not the sugary sweet type of doctor, but is certainly compassionate. If you need sugary sweet, you may want to see someone else.nI’ve seen a couple of really bad reviews here. Both sound like personality clashes. Doesn’t mention anything about her expertise.nI suggest looking at a persons other reviews before forming a decision about a doctor or anything else for that matter. You may see a pattern.

I love Dr. Velazquez’s care! I had a scare last year and had much testing. Everything turned out okay, and she explained it all in detail to me. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Velazquez should not practice medicine.nI had a phone encounter with Dr. Velazquez, and I hope to never have another encounter with her again. She is deeming and rude. Not only with patients, but in reference to her coworker who is my practitioner. I called the night line this evening that she is covering and basically was told I’m not that sick, and I should not be calling the after hours line. I have a genetic heart condition I manage daily, with very infrequent doctors visits, thankfully. But when issues arise with my health is it alarming for me. The last time that I was delayed diagnosed with Strep (which is what I believe I have now) I ended up in the hospital. I don’t believe Dr. Velazquez should practice medicine. She shows no concern and is hateful. I would never recommend anyone to her. I would recommend she receive some compassion training. Doctors like her are part of many issues in medicine today.

I'm a relatively new patient to Dr. Velasquez, and have already been impressed with her caring, engaged approach to patient care. I definitely do not feel like a number in this office, and also appreciate the professionalism of the entire staff. That said, I happened to call the office today (a Saturday), at 11:45 to see if I might be able to come in as a walk in, since I'm feeling under the weather. The person on the phone apologetically advised me they were closing at noon today, BUT, that they could see me at 1:00 tomorrow. I asked if this is when they opened, and if I'd be a walk in, and was told that I could have this time slot as an appointment! Imagine my surprise that they are not only (1) open on Sunday, but (2) that I could get an appointment, saving myself the 'wait to be seen' process of most walk in care facilities. TWO THUMBS UP! Thanks, Cornerstone!
