Sam's Bottle Shop

Store has a pleasant sort of ambience as soon as you walk in. The employees were courteous, responsive and helpful. Maybe I came on a good day and I'm grateful for that... the store is well-organized and also nice to look at, the aisles are warm and inviting, the unique and interesting merchandise draws you in. I also enjoyed the drive there because it took me through Garrett road where I never knew there were so many grand looking homes. I didn't need to stay long at the store but it really was a pleasant environment to be in.

Great selection of beer. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and does a great job with suggestions if you want to try something new. Also a very cool spot to have a draft or two on the roof when the Covid restrictions are lifted.

Great wine. Great price. Great atmosphere. There was a hawk in the parking lot that attempted to take my nephew. I do not blame the store for this. I provoked the hawk by throwing rocks at her nest. I was able to swat the hawk with the excellent 2013 chateau I purchased. The wine paired well with the lonely stove top stuffing single guy dinner. I haven't been with another human in some years, and I find that Sam's bottle shop helps me Cope the best. 3 stars

It's curious to me that every time I visit, I receive rude and underwhelming service. It doesn't matter if it's busy or slow. There are a few people in particular who seem to be annoyed that they are providing service to me - a paying, frequent customer (Ironically, every time I've seen them interact with white customers, they're warm and kind.)nnI have frequented this store and spent no less than a few thousand dollars over the years; I find it important to patronize local businesses. However, they do NOT have to worry about me spending another dollar there.nnThe only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the selection of craft beer available is FANTASTIC.

Always Great the sales people friendly it's a fantastic place to get my Cigars. Love the 10% off on Monday and Tuesday.
