Rise Durham Southpoint

I typically don’t like to post reviews, but I felt this one needed to be done.nnI’m a vegetarian. I have been for a few years now. I went to Rise with my cousin about a month ago and ordered the vegetarian version of a Nashville chicken biscuit.nnI noticed that the “chicken” was a bit large compared to other fake meat versions that I’ve had, and the texture wasn’t too bad either. With how close meat substitutes are to the real thing, I didn’t think twice about it...nnBut then I ordered the same biscuit from Rise in Holly Springs, and it was completely different. I was initially confused. The “chicken” was flat and had different breading on it, and the sauce was under it instead of covering the chicken. It was then that I realized that my cousin and I had both eaten meat at the Durham store.nnGranted, we did come in 10 minutes before closing. As someone who works in the service industry, I understand that it can be annoying; however, we made sure our orders were quick and simple, and we were the only two in the store. On the order screen you could clearly see that it said vegetarian, so I know we didn’t choose the wrong biscuit by accident. I honestly feel like this was a simple lack of care on the staff’s part. I used to work in fast food, I used to serve, and now I work in a bakery. Dietary restrictions and food allergies were something I was taught to never overlook. The fact that the restriction was blatantly printed on the ticket is what makes this mistake not okay with me. It wasn’t spoken or haphazardly written down on a ticket. If that were the case it would be more forgivable, but for me to punch in the order on my own, see that it is correct on the screen, and then have someone just completely look over it in a dead store? It’s just carelessness.

5 star food, 1 star wait. How long does it take to prepare a biscuit?

Use to work at the salon in the shopping center and was a loyal client ever since they opened.nnNot sure what has changed recently but the quality has gone down to a zero.nnWill not be coming here anymore .

I use to love this place when it opened-nnHad issues the last 4 times I went.

The online order pickup process has been improved. Now the orders are on a rack like other restaurants do. That makes it easy to get in and out which is appreciated right now. The food remains solid in my book.
