The chicken and waffles and the bourbon waffles are really good. The chicken was juicy, not dry at all. Very friendly service and we had a nice chat with the owner who was very friendly and gave us some tips on trails in the area. The bathroom was also very clean.

Super yummy food, very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Its beginning to warm up so we were able to sit outside. I highly recommend the Black Mountain Benny!

Great food made perfectly every time. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy or the shrimp and grits. Wonderful service and the kindest owners. 10/10.

Great food paired with an owner (Stephanie) who truly cares. You can tell her soul is invested in the success of her business which translates to caring about every order leaving the kitchen and every guest that sits at a table. I’ve never been here before, and I’ve never met the owner previous to my visit today, but you can feel it instantly.nnBeing a restaurant owner amidst COVID is an incredibly challenging endeavor. No doubt you have to be tough, roll up your sleeves, trudge forward and present a smile. That’s what I feel here; Stephanie is clearly a tough entrepreneur making the best of a very challenging situation - I would say this is the ingredient of greatness for an entrepreneur - making it happen no matter what!nnGreat food, great atmosphere and a welcomed sense of normalcy in a crazy time. This place is a diamond in the rough and I consider myself lucky to have stumbled in. To Stephanie and staff: thank you for your efforts! It’s appreciated!

Small town restaurant style with 5-star flavor. We got the special -- the bayou bowl. Crispy fluffy potatoes and sweet potatoes, eggs any way you want them, Andouille sausage, and this incredible fresh corn topper. So much flavor. I highly recommend dropping by.
